As I’m sure many of you are aware, this year The Wine Doctor has divided his 'Saint Emilion En-Primeur' report into two segments; the 'Premier Grand Cru Classé' and 'St Emilion Grand Cru Classé'; 'Grand Cru', funnily enough the opposite to what Decanter have done with their Saint Emilion reviews this year. By doing so Chris has made it increasingly apparent that the Saint Emilion classification seems to have little sensitivity separating out wines into groups based on quality/interest...hot off the press is his review of our wines, to which we are delighted to share with you!

Not only does our LE DOME sit alongside Château Tertre-Roteboeuf as TOP CONTENDER in ‘The Wine Doctor’s’ 'St Emilion Grand Cru Classé' and 'Grand Cru' wine ratings….when assessing all of the wines reviewed in this category, we’ve also taken 3 places in his top 5, with our LE DOME, LES ASTERIES and VIEUX CHATEAU MAZERAT!

Bordeaux Dreams
I have decided to exclude the five first growths on the left bank, and the traditional right-bank contemporaries of Petrus, Le Pin, Château Cheval Blanc and Château Ausone otherwise this simply becomes a millionaire's list of what to buy. Are there any millionaires reading? I suppose, these days, Château Angélus and Château Pavieshould also be excluded, but looking at their prices compared to Château Cheval Blanc and Château Ausone this doesn't seem to be warranted, so I consider them eligible. I think, to be fair, Château Lafleur should also be counted out. So here is the 'non-firsts' dream Bordeaux 2014 mixed case:
