Join us for what will be an exhilarating debate between our very own Jonathan Maltus and Burgundy winemaker Mark Haisma at The Wall Street Journal’s London office, 
hosted by WSJ wine columnist Will Lyon.


On April 23, 2015 at The Wall Street Journal’s London office, join WSJ wine columnist Will Lyons in conversation with two of France’s most outspoken winemakers, Château Teyssier’s Jonathan Maltus, creator of Bordeaux’s celebrated 100-point wine Le Dôme, and Mark Haisma, one of the new breed of hungry young winemakers in Burgundy.
What separates these two fine wine-producing regions? Find out as Bordeaux and Burgundy go head to head for a members-only discussion and fine-wine tasting of an exceptional range of wines, including Le Dôme and Clos de Bèze, which will stimulate your palate as well as your mind. 
Timings are as follows:

  • 6:30 - 7:00 PM – Arrival and welcome drink, canapés will be served.
  • 7:00 - 8:30 PM – Discussion and wine tasting
This is a unique opportunity for wine lovers to meet with Will Lyons and enjoy an exclusive tasting with other WSJ+ members. 


Will Lyons writes a weekly wine column for The Wall Street Journal. His humorous, informed, down-to-earth writing has been recognized in both the Glenfiddich and Roederer wine-writing awards. He began his career in London, as a wine merchant in St. James’s for Justerini & Brooks where he developed a love for the classic wines of Europe. He has written for a variety of publications including The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, The Reader’s Digest, The Spectator and Decanter. He is a past president of the Edinburgh University Wine Society, where in between wine tasting, he read History.
